The gardens at the McFaddin-Ward house contain over 100 varieties of roses, a few varieties still present from the 1940s. The roses put on a spectacular show of blooms between April and December. The museum's Director of Facilities demonstrates rose pruning then offers rose clippings to the community every February. The current beds were reworked raised from the McFaddin's original beds to improve drainage.
